Job summary

Southern Hearts Homecare of Georgia inc is seeking compassionate Personal Care Assistants to support clients in Byron, GA. You will assist with activities of daily living, bathing, grooming, meals, meds reminders, and light housekeeping to maintain comfort, safety, and independence.

Ideal candidates have caregiving experience, CPR/First Aid, TB test, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation. A criminal background check is required; HS diploma or equivalent is essential.

Qualifications

• Prior Personal Care Assistant or caregiving experience preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certifications required.
• TB test current.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Pass criminal background check.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Prepare meals according to clients’ needs and preferences.
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist clients with shopping and errands.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with mobility and transfers when required.
• Follow each client’s plan of care and assigned task sheet.
• Observe and report changes in a client’s condition or behavior.
• Document services accurately and on time.
• Respond quickly and responsibly during emergencies.
• Protect clients’ privacy, dignity, and confidential information.
• Perform other authorized personal care duties as assigned.
