Job summary

Altra Homecare Group is hiring Personal Care Assistants to provide in-home personal care and companionship. You will support patients with daily living activities, monitor health, and document care while maintaining safety and privacy guidelines.

Ideal candidates are 18+, have a valid driver’s license with insurance, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of experience. The role offers comprehensive benefits and a flexible schedule in a community-based home care setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License and Auto Insurance.
• Preferred: 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care provided.
• Current CPR certification.
• State and Federal training requirements must be complied with.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient laundry as needed.
• Provide medication reminders and monitor patient health.
• Ensure patient safety and report changes to supervisor.
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
• Monitor and record patient temperature and ambulation.
• Conduct simple ROM exercises and light activities.
• Maintain care documentation and follow protocols.
• Follow privacy and infection control guidelines.
• Offer bathing assistance and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship, including letter-writing and reading.
