Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Personal Care Assistant in Los Angeles to support clients with daily living activities, mobility and therapeutic care needs in home or community settings.

The role requires at least 1 year of relevant experience, CPR certification, and ability to coordinate care with families and health professionals. Competitive pay and a suite of benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Knowledge of child growth and development.
• Ability to coordinate services between home, school and health resources.
• Strong communication skills; English language proficiency may be required.
• Computer proficiency required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides services to persons who need help with day-to-day activities.
• Provides health care tasks, personal hygiene and related support.
• Assists with transfers and ambulation.
• Performs incidental household services integral to the care plan.
• Provides companionship by reading, listening and talking with client.
• Assists with self-care activities such as toileting and dressing.
• Reports changes in client status as directed by the care plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
