Job summary

TCN Bellefontaine seeks a Peer Recovery Support Specialist to assist clients with substance use disorders. This role leverages lived recovery experience and training to support individuals in exploring pathways to recovery, navigating treatment, and building resilience.

Responsibilities include coordination of care, crisis intervention, documentation, supervision, and adherence to ethics and confidentiality. A high school diploma and certification, plus Ohio driver’s license, are required.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma.
  • Certification: Peer Recovery Support Certification and one year of prior experience with substance use disorders.
  • First Aid and De-escalation training (provided if needed).
  • Must meet all requirements to bill Medicaid for services rendered.
  • Valid Ohio Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate with the treatment team in developing an individualized, comprehensive treatment plan.
  • Provide coordination and assistance in crisis intervention/emergency services and stabilization.
  • Educate community groups about recovery and lead recovery dialogs; advocate for consumer needs.
  • Maintain documentation and active caseload; collect GPRA data; ensure timely data entry.
