Job summary

Los Angeles Community Hospitals is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support nursing staff in delivering safe, efficient patient care. You will record vital signs, assist with hygiene and mobility, help maintain a clean and safe unit, and support with stocking supplies and basic clerical tasks.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, BLS, English proficiency, and good customer service. Preferred bilingual abilities and hospital experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification.
• Understanding of basic medical terminology.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English.
• Customer service skills.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).

Responsibilities

• Accurately measures and records patient weights and vital signs.
• Assists with hygiene, feeding, elimination and activities of daily living.
• Maintains a clean and safe unit environment.
• Stocking unit supplies and operating hospital equipment as directed.
• Perform routine clerical tasks and assist with other related duties as assigned.
