Job summary

Visiting Angels Montgomery is seeking a Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support local seniors with compassionate in-home care. You will provide companionship, help with daily activities, and ensure safety during mobility and transportation tasks.

The role includes light housekeeping, meal preparation, and opportunities for advanced training in dementia or Alzheimer’s care to grow your skills in a caring community setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates compassion and strong communication.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response.
• Able to perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Respectful, reliable, and adheres to safety standards.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• Capable of assisting with mobility and daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist with ambulation and mobility at home or during outings.
• Assist with personal care and daily hygiene.
• Support routine exercises and mobility activities.
• Plan and prepare meals with client input when possible.
• Shop for groceries or accompany clients on shopping trips.
• Perform light housekeeping as needed.
• Provide a pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Report unusual incidents promptly and respond to emergencies.
