Job summary

Visiting Angels of Cedar Rapids is hiring a Patient Care Aide - PCA to support seniors in Cedar Rapids, Marion, Hiawatha and nearby communities. You’ll assist with daily living, mobility, meals, and light housekeeping while promoting independence and dignity.

Flexible shifts available including Full Time, Part Time, PRN, and Short Shift. Must have high school diploma, reliable transport, and pass background check.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent time-management and strong communication skills are essential.
• Reliable transportation to client visits is required.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks to support daily living.
• Encourage exercise and fitness activities.
• Prompt medication reminders at the correct times.
• Assist with shopping and meal preparation with clients.
• Support mobility and accompany clients to appointments.
