Advocate Health Care is seeking a Patient Transporter to move patients to wheelchairs, beds, and various hospital locations while ensuring safety and comfort. You will follow body mechanics, assist with equipment needs, and coordinate with clinical staff on changes in patient condition.

The role requires no formal education or prior experience and offers full-time shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd) with a pay range of $18.85 to $28.30 per hour. BLS certification must be obtained within six months.

Aufgaben

• Transport patients to and from wheelchairs, stretchers or beds using proper body mechanics.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety, respond to precaution signs.
• Transport items and equipment to destinations as needed.
• Notify clinical staff of changes in patient condition or equipment issues.
• Verify patient identification and document progress using electronic software.
• Disinfect and inspect transport equipment before and after use.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• May collect patient equipment from soiled areas and assist with medication pick-up/delivery.
