Job summary

Recovery Centers of America is seeking a Transportation Support Specialist to safely transport patients to medical appointments and other destinations, while assisting with patient care activities and staying on schedule.

The role requires a valid driver's license, a clean MVR, and CPR certification. You will work in various settings, including clinics and hospitals, with travel mostly local and some occasional out-of-area. Training on technology and devices will be provided.

Qualifications

• Valid state driver's license.
• Clean driving record (MVR) required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a driver/transportation staff preferred.
• 6 months experience in health and human services preferred.
• CPR certification maintained.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and workload prioritization.
• Proficiency with technology hardware and systems; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and/or staff.
• Performs and documents daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety.
• Processes patient belongings for new admissions and visitation items; search, inspect, sanitize, and deliver.
• Monitors patient activities and completes documentation including rounds sheet and incident reports.
• Communicates safety and transportation needs to program leadership on-call.
• Collaborates with inter-disciplinary departments on admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Performs other duties when patient transportation needs are low.
• May transport medical equipment and medications as needed.
