Job summary

ClearSky Health is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in meal service for patients, visitors, and staff, and to support preparation and delivery of meals in our hospital. The role requires following planned menus, safe food handling, and maintaining accurate patient diet records.

You will operate the dish machine, help stock the Dietary department, and contribute to a clean, safe, patient-centered environment while upholding infection prevention standards and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• 1 year experience in healthcare food services preferred.
• Food Handler’s permit preferred.
• Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements.
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets per planned menu.
• Cleans and sanitizes all food preparation equipment and ensures safe operability.
• Maintains records regarding patient diet information.
• Operates dish machine per procedures.
• Keeps Dietary department stocked with essential patient food items.
• Provides safe environment and infection prevention standards.
• Maintains regular attendance and completes required trainings.
• Performs other duties as assigned to support organizational effectiveness.
