Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) for PRN shifts to support a collaborative nursing team. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans. Your empathy and teamwork contribute to patient comfort and dignity.

You will participate in safe, welcoming environments, help maintain clean and stocked patient areas, and communicate clearly with patients and families to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of start date
• No travel required
• No previous experience required

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort
• Provide non-medicated care such as dressing changes and skin protection
• Keep patient areas clean, organized and stocked for safety and efficiency
• Manage supplies, equipment and logs to support infection control
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team
