Job summary

HCA Florida Poinciana Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our collaborative nursing team on a PRN basis. You will support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patient conditions, and help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for all patients.

Duties include assisting with mobility and daily living activities, taking vital signs, keeping patient areas clean and stocked, managing supplies, and communicating with patients, families, and care teams to ensure safety

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• One year of patient care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery.
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
