Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to perform assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN. Duties include assisting with procedures, transporting samples, and maintaining hygiene and comfort for patients.

This role requires collaboration with the patient care team, adherence to safety and infection control standards, and willingness to participate in Performance Improvement initiatives within the unit.

Qualifications

• BLS required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care under RN/LPN supervision.
• Communicate with patients, families and care team.
• Operate medical equipment and monitor patient condition.
• Record intake/output and observe changes.
• Support admission, transfer and discharge processes.
