• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Graduate of nurse aide or patient care tech training program or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Follows established plan of patient care.
• Assists with admission, transfer, discharge and transporting of patients.
• Implements patient safety measures including assisting movement, getting vitals, and basic care tasks.
• Performs basic routine duties each shift: water distribution, linen handling, and maintaining unit cleanliness.
• Documents skills and observations in the medical record and reports to the nurse.
• Gathers patient information and reports age-specific needs to the nurse.
• Supports adherence to hospital policies and participates in staff meetings.
