Job summary

Danbury Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide direct patient care under supervision on a 3 East Med/Surg unit. You will perform basic patient care tasks, monitor patient safety, and assist with comfort and daily activities.

Minimum education is a high school diploma with preference for CNA certification and BLS/CPR within 90 days. Prior hospital experience is a plus. This is an on-site role with shift-based compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent.
• Active CNA certification preferred.
• BLS/CPR certification within 90 days of start or orientation as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision.
• Performs technical skills including point-of-care testing.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort and communicates observations to nurses.
