Job summary

Methodist Hospital, part of the Methodist Healthcare System, seeks a Patient Care Technician to join a collaborative nursing team. You will assist with vital signs, mobility, and personal care, supporting RNs in care plans while helping create a safe, welcoming environment for patients.

Responsibilities include prep, transfers, dressing changes, infection control, and maintaining clean, stocked spaces. BCLS within 30 days is required; CNA training preferred with 1+ year acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Preferred: CNA Training Program; 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
