MUSC Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support a decentralized, patient-centered care team in Columbia, SC. Under RN supervision, you will measure vital signs and report patient concerns.

Responsibilities include assisting patients with daily needs, supporting nursing staff with basic treatments, and ensuring supplies and cleanliness in patient rooms. BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• At least 1 year of patient care work experience in a health care facility or Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire; maintain BLS thereafter.

Responsabilités

• Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized.
• Assist patients with daily needs and personal hygiene.
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition.
• Assist nursing staff in administering basic treatments.
• Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies and linens.
• Provide emotional support to patients.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by department leadership.
