Job summary

Alaska Regional Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our nursing team as a Float PRN. You will assist Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitor patient needs, and help create a safe, welcoming environment across units.

Responsibilities include helping with mobility, vital signs, dressing changes, and ensuring clean, stocked spaces. A 6-month PCT background is preferred and BLS/CPR certification must be obtained within 7 days of start date.

Qualifications

• BLS/CPR certification required or obtained within 7 days of employment start date
• 6 Months of PCT Experience Preferred

Responsibilities

• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non-medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality
