Job summary

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility in Denison, Texas, seeks compassionate healthcare assistants to support licensed nurses in delivering high‑quality patient care. You will help meet patient needs, assist with activities of daily living, document observations, and ensure safety and comfort at all times.

Responsibilities include direct care with limited invasive procedures, adherence to BLS/CPR requirements, and timely communication with RNs.

Qualifications

• Reading and numerical competency. Must possess competency in use of technology and computers.
• Caregiving experience preferred. Must have the ability to demonstrate basic care giving skills and essential job functions.
• BLS Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines and all required Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Healthcare Provider courses will be provided during new hire orientation or upon transfer, and must be completed prior to working in a clinical setting. Must successfully complete "Handle with Care" within 6 months of hire/transfer, and annually thereafter.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department and reports patient welfare, safety and security to RN.

Responsibilities

• Performs various tasks as competency documentation designates. Other duties as assigned.
