Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • BLS is required.
  • Must meet one of the following: one year of direct patient care experience, successful completion of a nursing assistant training course, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license through State of Georgia, OR current enrollment in a nursing program and completion of 2 clinical rotations.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or LPN, including cleaning the patient’s room, operating clinical equipment, assisting with emergencies, collecting and transporting patient specimens and completing forms.
  • Communicates with patients, families and members of the patient care team.
  • Maintains hospital and unit-specific competencies.
  • Promotes a supportive and healing environment to enhance customer and staff satisfaction.
  • Assists in emergency situations as directed by an RN/LPN.
