Job summary

UnityPoint Health in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the unit team. You will provide hands-on patient care, assist with procedures, and observe and document patient status under supervision.

You will collaborate with RNs and the health care team to ensure safe, compassionate care while maintaining accurate data entry in the EMR and supporting daily living activities for patients.

Qualifications

• BLS certification current.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Basic computer EMR data entry coursework.

Responsibilities

• Partners with the RN and healthcare team to achieve patient care outcomes.
• Enter patient data into the EMR accurately and on time.
• Perform tasks directed by the RN and team with competency validation.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Maintain patient safety and document care activities in the unit.
