Job summary

Singing River Ocean Springs Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Associate to provide basic nursing care and support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN. Expect adherence to CDC infection control guidelines and SRHS policies while delivering compassionate care to patients.

Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent; Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred, with CNA certification preferred upon hire for the SNF unit.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred.
• Current CNA certification preferred; CNA certification required upon hire for SNF unit.
• Must complete and maintain BCLS certification upon hire or transfer.
• De-escalation training must be completed by end of orientation (90 days).
• Equivalent related work experience or completion of a Nurse Aide program required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care per predefined plan of care.
• Work under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or LPN.
• Follow CDC Infection Control guidelines and department policies.
• Adhere to Singing River Health System procedures and governing guidance.
• Demonstrate appropriate clinical judgment and collaborative teamwork.
