Job summary

Penn Highlands Healthcare is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support nursing staff with clerical duties and direct patient care in a hospital setting.

You will assist with vitals, intake/output, hygiene, and basic procedures under supervision, contributing to high-quality patient care and comfort. Experience in healthcare is preferred; CPR and Crisis Management certs are required or obtainable within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Crisis Management certification is required or obtained within one year of hire.
• Previous healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical and receptionist duties under supervision.
• Assist with patient care using established standards of care.
• Obtain vitals and collect intake/output, maintain patient weights.
• Assist with personal hygiene, toileting, and patient procedures/treatments.
