Job summary

Sanford Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide patient-centered care under supervision of a RN or LPN. The role includes daily living assistance, vital signs, and maintaining a safe, clean patient environment.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (preferred), CNA certification preferred, and be eligible for the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry. This is a 12-hour shift role with varied schedules and full-time potential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
• If working in North Dakota (ND) or Minnesota (MN) and not a Certified Nursing Assistant, must be on the NA Registry as a Nursing Assistant through the North Dakota Dept. of Health or through the Minnesota Dept. of Health within four months from the date of hire.
• If working in Wisconsin, must be on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry with current work eligibility or a student nurse, currently enrolled at a school approved by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, who has completed a basic nursing course and 16 hours of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities; bathing, grooming, toileting, eating, meal preparation and dining needs, emotional and spiritual needs.
• Administer delegated tasks and treatments.
• Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
• Will collect non-invasive biological specimens from patients as needed.
• Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
• Prepare patient treatment areas for use; prepare and clean medical equipment; dispose of biomedical waste in accordance with standards and policy.
• Clean patient living areas or treatment rooms.
• When necessary for safe provision of care, employee will provide one on one care to patients.
