Cedar Hills Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Clemmons, NC is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our dietary team. You will prepare and cook meals according to menus and residents’ dietary needs, while following safety standards and maintaining a clean kitchen.

Qualifications

• Current ServSafe or food service sanitation certification preferred or required, as applicable.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation, sanitation, and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a resident-centered healthcare environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, positive, and committed to providing quality service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, residents’ dietary needs, and special diet requirements.
• Follow proper food handling, storage, and preparation procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
• Follow all applicable food safety standards and state dietary regulations.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and helpful attitude toward residents and team members.
• Work collaboratively with the dietary team to provide quality food service.
