Job summary

ReliaRide, operated by A Blessed Path, Inc., is seeking a Paratransit Driver to safely transport patients to medical appointments and ensure comfort throughout the journey.

The role requires a valid license, 2+ years of driving, and the ability to assist patients as needed. Responsibilities include maintaining records, performing pre/post trip checks, and coordinating with dispatch and management.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license
• 2+ years of driving experience (18+ years old)
• Pass pre-hire physical and TB test
• Pass pre-hire alcohol and drug test
• Pass FBI/BCI background check
• Clean driving record (no more than 4 points)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to assist patients (NOT LIFT) for door-to-door service
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from medical appointments safely and promptly
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during transportation
• Maintain accurate records of pick-up/drop-off times and odometer readings
• Communicate effectively with clients, dispatch and management
• Perform pre/post trip inspections
• Transport patients in wheelchairs without discrimination
• Follow scheduling via work tablet and routing system
• Report incidents and accidents to dispatch and supervisor
• Secure wheelchair tie-downs and seat belts in-vehicle
• Assist clients in wheelchairs to enter/exit the vehicle
• Identify safety risks in wheelchairs and report to supervisor
