Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Texarkana is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to deliver direct OT services to rehab patients and assist them toward meaningful independence and improved quality of life. You will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapies in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications include current state licensure and CPR certification; a Master’s degree is preferred, or a Bachelor’s degree with substantial field experience.

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CPR certification.
• Master’s degree preferred, or Bachelor’s degree plus sufficient experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients in need of occupational therapy.
• Guiding patients by supervising care and treatments, leading patient assessments, creating personalized care plans, and targeting and resolving patient concerns.
• Building meaningful relationships with patients by dedicating time to understand their physical, mental, and emotional needs for successful recovery.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
