Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of Nursing Attendant experience in acute hospital or equivalent.
• Enrollment in RN or LVN program may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care as assigned under supervision of RN or physician.
• Follow established standards of care, policies and procedures.
• Communicate professionally and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN promptly.
• Transport patients, equipment, and specimens as needed using safe body mechanics.
• Contribute to department performance improvement activities and accurate documentation.
