CVP seeks Nursing Assistants to join our team at the VA New Jersey Health Care System, East Orange VA Medical Center, East Orange, NJ. You will provide skilled nursing care, monitor patients, and assist with diagnostics and procedures.

The role requires at least 1 year of NA experience, BLS certification, and English proficiency. This on-site position offers competitive hourly pay and benefits as part of a dedicated healthcare team serving veterans.

Competenze

Minimum one year of nursing assistant experience in medical/surgical, long-term care, or psychiatric units.
Current BLS certification from American Heart Association.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to speak, read, write English fluently.
Computer literacy and ability to use healthcare technology.
Physical ability to lift, turn, and assist patients.

Mansioni

Perform personal nursing care including feeding, walking, lifting, turning patients, and providing hygiene care using specialized equipment.
Take, record, and report vital signs and changes in patients' condition; assist doctors in diagnostic examinations and emergency procedures.
Assemble necessary equipment, position patients, collect and transport specimens to laboratory, and escort patients to diagnostic studies.
Change simple dressings, care for patients with infections and communicable diseases, and provide care for patients receiving oxygen therapy.
Conduct admission inventories including contraband searches, provide care as Patient Safety Partner, and perform EKGs as requested.
Document patient information and promote physical independence through self-care supervision.
