Job summary

Prisma Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support nursing staff in caring for patients at the Oconee Medical Campus. Responsibilities include data collection on patient status, assisting with basic nursing procedures, and maintaining orderly patient care areas.

Under RN supervision, you will collect specimens, document in EMR, and assist with treatments and daily living activities. Night shifts available; trainable and essential to patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Education - Completion of a nursing assistant program preferred.
• Experience - No previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and hygiene; turns and repositions patients alone or with assistance.
• Takes and records vital signs and reports questionable values.
• Prepares patients for meals and assists with feeding and providing snacks.
• Collects urine, stool, and sputum specimens and delivers to appropriate department.
• Completes documentation in EMR accurately and timely.
• Maintains cleanliness and order of patient rooms and adjoining areas.
• Performs point-of-care testing as trained and delegated by RN.
