Memorial Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant for 5 West Medical Telemetry to support direct patient care under the supervision of a Clinical Nurse. The role emphasizes safe patient care, adherence to hospital policies, and teamwork in a busy telemetry unit.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, procedures, and unit maintenance. The role may require house coverage and participation in orientation of new staff, with a focus on prompt patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required or substituted with relevant experience as determined by manager and talent acquisition specialist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care as delegated by the Clinical Nurse and per hospital policy.
• Assist with procedures as determined by hospital policy, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe patient and unit environment.
• Assist with activities of daily living and daily assignments for patients.
• Assist in orientation of new Nursing Assistants.
• Provide courteous and prompt responses to patient requests.
• May be required to cover the house and assist with ordering/receiving supplies, medications, manuals, and equipment.
