Job summary

UF Health Leesburg Hospital seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care on a 12-hour shift schedule. You’ll assist with basic nursing tasks, monitor vital signs, and help with daily living activities under RN supervision.

This full-time day shift role includes weekend rotation, 24/7 operations, PTO and full benefits, and a sign-on bonus. Florida CNA license preferred; BLS required or preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• Post High School Special Training preferred
• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant License preferred
• BLS certification preferred or required

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient care with basic nursing tasks and comfort measures.
• Take vitals and monitor blood glucose; support health recovery on the unit.
• Coordinate with RNs, families and colleagues; maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Assist on a 24/7 schedule; weekends required; full-time day shift 6:45 a.m.–7:15 p.m.
• Eligible for sign-on bonus; PTO and full benefits offered.
