Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care across age groups in a fast-paced hospital setting. You will assist with treatments, record vitals, and help ensure safety while working under the supervision of a registered nurse.

This role requires enrollment in an accredited nursing program or recent completion without licensure, BLS certification, and a commitment to high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program and completed first semester OR completed program within 1 year and not licensed.
• 1+ year experience as nursing assistant preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
• Document procedures accurately per department policy.
• Perform routine tasks: take vitals, record I&O, document blood glucose results, and assist with meals.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives and support performance improvement.
• Learn, adapt, and upgrade skills as needed.
