Wheelcare Express Inc. is seeking full-time drivers to transport clients to medical appointments and other engagements in Northern California. Many clients may require wheelchair or gurney transport.

Qualifications

• Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Able to pass alcohol & drug test.
• Able to pass background check.
• Able to pass DOT Physical and First Aid/ CPR.
• Positive attitude and good communication.
• NEMT driver experience a plus; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to medical appointments in safe, efficient, timely manner.
• Follow traffic rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicle before shift; report defects.
• Report accidents and incidents; document properly.
• Complete trip documentation via phone apps.
• Keep vehicle clean and fueled.
• Operate wheelchair and gurney lifts.
• Communicate with Dispatch.
• Follow safety and COVID protocols.
• Instruct clients on safe riding rules.
