Job summary

Baptist Health Nassau in Fernandina Beach, FL is seeking a compassionate Mobility Technician to join the Nursing Support team. This part-time role offers 24 hours per week with weekend rotation, supporting patient mobility and safety.

You will assist with repositioning, ambulation, and transfers using lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards, while documenting activities and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications

• HSD/GED required.
• Associate's Degree preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinical staff in safe repositioning, ambulation, and transfer of patients.
• Utilize patient handling equipment such as lifts, slide sheets, and transfer boards.
• Respond to mobility requests from nursing and rehabilitation departments.
• Support fall prevention strategies and early mobility protocols.
• Document patient mobility activities in accordance with hospital policies.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
