Job summary

Brattleboro Retreat is seeking a Mental Health Tech to support the Medical Clinic by performing clinical and clerical tasks, including POC testing and charting in Meditech. You will assist with direct patient care, monitor safety, and collaborate with nurses and therapists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months to 1 year patient contact experience required.
• CPI training provided by Brattleboro Retreat.
• Must have valid driver’s license with clean record.
• CPR certification required.
• Clerical experience preferred.
• Organized and flexible; ability to set priorities and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical testing (Flu, Strep, Covid, UDS, HCG POC) and records results in patients' charts.
• Keeps accurate records in Meditech and maintains patient charts.
• Tracks Clinic inventory and reports to manager as needed.
• Receives X-ray results and distributes to appropriate departments promptly.
• Schedules X-Rays and manages clinic workflow to ensure timely care.
• Assists with triage and ensures compromised patients receive prompt care.
• Relays test results and messages per policy, ensuring confidentiality.
