Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston, GA is seeking a Mental Health Tech I to support the treatment team and assist with patient care. You will observe patients, record information, assist with admissions and discharges, and help with ADLs under RN supervision.

Responsibilities include vital signs, leading education groups, light clerical duties, and maintaining clean and safe patient areas. A compassionate attitude and healthcare experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Education or Equivalent.
• At least 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Able to lift at least 50 pounds.
• Willing to assist with personal hygiene and laundry tasks.

Responsabilités

• Observe and record patient information pertinent to the treatment plan.
• Welcome new patients per admission protocols; assist with discharge process.
• Maintain direct patient observation and lead education groups.
• Assist nursing staff by taking vital signs and helping with ADLs.
• Make entries into the patient’s medical record as needed.
• Perform light clerical duties, general housekeeping, and answer phones.

Formation

High School Education or Equivalent

At least 1 year of healthcare experience
