Job summary

Regalcare-Rehabilitatio is seeking a Mental Health Aide to provide supportive care to individuals facing mental health challenges and/or substance use issues. The role focuses on safety, well-being, and compassionate assistance under supervision.

Responsibilities include helping with daily living activities, monitoring behavior, and supporting therapy groups while maintaining confidentiality and dignity for all patients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant training or certification in mental health or substance use preferred.
• Prior experience in a security role or mental health setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage crises and defuse stressful situations.
• Understand principles of mental health, substance use, and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities.
• Monitor patient behavior and report changes to mental health professionals.
• Support therapeutic programs and group activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient dignity at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
• Enforce safety and security protocols to maintain a safe environment.
• Keep accurate records of patient interactions and care.
