Job summary

Elderwood in Village of Williamsville is looking for a Medication Technician to assist in ensuring the health and well-being of residents by providing personal care and supporting self-administration of medication. Previous certification and experience are required.

The role includes administering treatments, managing medication distribution, and providing comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Proof of successful completion of a medication technician training program within the last 12 months preferred.
• Must pass Elderwood Medication Technician test.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs/assists with the safe, proper administration of medication to assigned residents.
• Administers medications and treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Responds immediately to resident requests.
• Participates in change-of-shift reports, updating nursing personnel on resident care.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Certification by an approved basic training program in home health aide services
