Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, administer, report, and record medications per physician orders and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate narcotic counts and dispose of medications per policy.
• Record vital signs and resident reactions to medications; monitor and document in charts.
• Keep medication cart stocked; ensure med room is clean and organized.
• Follow the 5 rights of medication administration.
• Document observations in the clinical record; report deviations to the charge nurse.
• Respond to call lights within 5 minutes; attend to residents promptly.
