Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting program.
• Completion of US armed forces medical services training program.
• 1 year of related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent technical and clinical services and flex daily needs based on CCHMC policy, best practice guidelines and department needs.
• Assist care providers with procedures and physical exams of patients.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
• Provide care consistent with the family-centered care and medical home models.
• Provide flexible, culturally competent and responsive care to the needs of the patient and family.
• Treat families as full partners with decision making processes regarding their child's care.
• Offer information, services and support in a collaborative and respectful manner.
• Act as a customer advocate and strive to meet the needs of patients and families.
• Respond quickly to parent requests and concerns.
• Provide education/information to patients and families.
• Work collaboratively with others and follow complex direction to resolve problems.
• Develop positive working relationships with peers and acknowledge others' skills.
• Share knowledge and provide support for team members.
• Contribute to a positive and professional work environment
• Manage records per department policy and assist with data collection.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
