Job summary

Community Care Partners in Zachary, LA seeks a Medical Assistant to support a patient-focused team. You will prepare patients for exams, record vital signs and medical history, and assist providers with treatments in a collaborative clinic setting. Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the listed programs preferred; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination, record vital signs and history, and assist with treatments.
• Prepare and sterilize exam rooms and maintain supplies/equipment.
• Administer injections, change dressings, and wound management under provider orders.
• Collect blood and other specimens, log results and perform lab call-backs.
• Document patient care in EMR and schedule tests/appointments.
• Instruct patients and families on treatments and medications.
• Perform phlebotomy and opening/closing clinic duties.
