Job summary

AdventHealth Palm Coast is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinics across Palm Coast and surrounding areas. The role involves patient check-in, treatments, and diagnostic testing, with a focus on delivering compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.

Applicants should have a High School diploma, 1+ related MA experience or completion of an accredited MA program, and active CPR/BLS certification. A sign-on bonus of up to $2,500 is available for eligible hires.

Qualifications

• General medical assistant practices required.
• English communication and comprehension essential.
• Ability to operate a computer, copier, fax and scanner.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients and staff.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high patient-volume environment.
• CPR/Basic Life Support certification and MA credentials required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Drive patient experience by documenting check-in and care in accordance with policy.
• Administer treatments, medications, and follow-up assessments as ordered by providers.
• Perform diagnostic testing such as EKG, spirometry, audiometry and other DOT/state required testing.
• Complete check-out duties and relay care instructions to patients or families.
• Follow safety, infection prevention, and quality control procedures; participate in performance-improvement initiatives.
• Train new clinical staff as needed.
