Job summary

Riverside Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician and practice manager supervision. You will help manage clinic patient flow and provide a broad range of health care services while supporting safe, quality care.

The role may involve floating to other practices in the region to support operations and patient needs, with emphasis on accurate records and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• CMA and CPR/BLS certifications required upon hire.
• RMA, CCMA, NCCT or CMA/AAMA certifications also common for hire.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs and prepare patient for examination.
• Assist physician with clinical procedures and vaccines.
• Process prescription refills and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Maintain medical inventory and stock exam rooms.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate electronic health records entries.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and referrals within network.
