Job summary

Suncoast Skin Solutions in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with direct and indirect patient care. This role requires preparation of exam and treatment areas and assisting with procedures.

You will manage EMR documentation, record vital signs, and help maintain clean patient-care areas while following safety protocols. High school diploma required; MA diploma/certification preferred. In-person, full-time position with solid benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, AA degree or higher. Medical assistant diploma and certification preferred.
• Knowledgeable in computer programs, EMR systems, customer service, excellent verbal communication skills.
• Experience with EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain examination and treatment areas (clinical).
• Assist with examinations, invasive and non-invasive procedures or treatments.
• Apply aseptic techniques and infection control.
• Screen and follow up on patients' test results.
• Collect and process specimens; log specimens.
• Prepare and administer medication (excludes controlled drugs).
• Maintain accurate medication records.
• Initiate and process prescription medication prior authorizations.
