Zusammenfassung

BrightView Health seeks a Medical Assistant to support high-quality patient care by following established treatment program policies and procedures. You will apply medical skills for planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs, and perform laboratory procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include managing patient flow, administrative duties, specimen preparation, and maintaining lab inventory.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of prior medical assistant experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and 42-CFR Part 2 desired.
• Prior harm reduction experience is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Facilitate timely and efficient patient flow for the duration of visits.
• Perform administrative duties to support patient flow.
• Prepare specimens for shipping.
• Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and a sanitary workspace.
• Provide input on treatment philosophy and patient care.
• Communicate with teams regarding patient appointments.
• Attend meetings and collaborate within center team.
• Consult on lab testing, results, and patient issues.
• Collect laboratory specimens per federal and state regulations.
• Review, post and disseminate laboratory results in a timely manner.
• Document thoroughly into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
• Maintain patient accounts including insurance and billing information.
