Job summary

SRIM is seeking a compassionate Health Care Associate in Arkansas City, KS to support residents and families. You will assist with ADLs, dining, and light housekeeping, while promoting dignity and safety in daily activities.

You must read and follow policies, maintain HIPAA compliance, and communicate clearly with residents. The role requires a GED or high school diploma, and Med-Tech certification; prior EMR experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and word processing software.
• Med-Tech certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes SRIM's core values and treats residents, families, visitors, and associates with respect.
• Supervises self-administration of medication for residents.
• Assists with ADL's, meal service, light housekeeping, and laundry while encouraging independence.
• Interacts with residents at all care levels with empathy, kindness, and respect.
• Observes and reports changes in residents' health and emotional well-being to supervisor.
• Assists residents in dining room during breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
• Initiates and participates in leisure activities per the activity calendar.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment at all times.
• Performs daily housekeeping according to schedules.
• Responds promptly and courteously to residents' requests.
