Job summary

Bi-Bett Corporation, a California-based nonprofit in Walnut Creek, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join its substance use treatment program on-site. The LVN will support nursing observations, documentation, and coordination with clinicians in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include medical chart reviews, intake information gathering, medication support within licensure, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license in good standing.
• Experience in outpatient or residential treatment settings preferred.
• Ability to travel between facilities regularly.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates the quality of medical care for clients.
• Communicates pertinent medical information per HIPAA rules to staff.
• Maintains compliance with OSHA and exposure plans.
• Completes new client History and Physical within 24 hours of admission.
• Updates IMS physician with information, medications and pertinent client data.
• Completes TB tests for new admissions.
• Provides medication orders for MD prescriptions.
• Documents in EMR.
• Supports screening and coordination with LPHA or program leadership.
• Assists counseling staff with referrals post-discharge.
