Job summary

Turenne & Associates is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care in our Gadsden, AL facility. Under RN supervision, you will administer medications, monitor residents, and help implement individualized care plans.

You will collaborate with physicians, RNs, and other staff to ensure safe, high-quality resident care and maintain accurate documentation and records. Weekend and holiday coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and current LPN licensure.
• Knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to identify resident condition changes.
• Proficiency in medication administration and knowledge of common medications and their effects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Nursing care: administer medications, monitor vital signs, assist with treatments as prescribed.
• Care planning: contribute to individualized care plans with the healthcare team.
• Documentation: accurately document care and medication administration per policy.
• Resident advocacy: protect residents' rights and preferences in care planning.
• Communication: liaise with residents, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care.
• Medication management: monitor responses and report adverse effects.
