Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide exceptional care to our residents in Emporia, Kansas. You will join a team of healthcare professionals and work under supervision to deliver quality nursing services.

The role emphasizes medication administration, daily resident assessments, and adherence to facility policies. A positive, compassionate demeanor and strong English communication are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
Caring and loving personality and demeanor.
Leadership and mentorship skills.
Ability to work your scheduled shift.
Ability to read, write & speak English.

Responsibilities

Enhance clinical care and quality of life for residents.
Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
Check residents daily to ensure proper treatment.
Keep RN Supervisor informed about status of residents and staff.
Implement changes as directed by RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses.
Perform procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, dressings, blood/urine specimens as per policy.
Complete LPN record-keeping forms at admission/discharge/transfer.
Give and receive nursing reports at shift change.
Investigate complaints and file reports as needed.
Present professional image to residents and families.
Adhere to policies and standards.
